Today, Governor Christie nominated former Camden County Prosecutor Lee Solomon to be president of the state Board of Public Utilities.

Here is the statement I issued on the appointment:

I couldn’t be more pleased by Governor Christie’s selection of Camden County’s own Lee Solomon to head the state’s Board of Public Utilities.  It shows the new Governor’s commitment to not only appointing experienced and respected people based on merit and ability to important posts within his administration, but also his dedication to assuring that South Jersey will have an integral voice in moving our state forward.

Judge Solomon is respected across the aisle as someone who puts the good of the people above partisanship and I congratulate him and commend the Governor for his fine selection.  Change has indeed arrived.

While Judge Solomon will be missed by the bench and bar in Camden County, I am pleased that all of New Jersey will benefit from his skills and talents.
