Rob Andrews Can Not Stop Increasing Spending!

January 27, 2010

Rob Andrews

President Obama, during his state of the union address tonight, will announce he wants a three-year federal government spending freeze.  Obama must know he is in trouble with the people to put the brakes on his beloved spending.  You may recall in the presidential debates McCain was in favor of a spending freeze and Obama quipped,

“And in fact an across-the-board spending freeze is a hatchet and we do need a scalpel because there are some programs that don’t work at all. There are some programs that are underfunded and I want to make sure that we are focused on those programs that work,”

What caused the sudden change of policy?  Did the Scott Brown election have that much of in impact on White House policy?  The video below will walk you down memory lane with the McCain-Obama debates.

It seems McCain was right and Obama has America questioning his credibility.  About the only thing worse than the Obama flop is Rob Andrew’s insistence we continue deficit spending.  As reported by Salon.com, Rob Andrews  was quick to point out that spending cuts will dig into the social safety net, which is a grim prospect in an economic downturn.

“Do you think we could have a 5 percent reduction in LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program)? Do you think we could have a 5 percent reduction in food stamps?”

With that comment Andrews demonstrated he is as reckless with his words as he is with his spending .  The president is suggesting we do not increase spending and to Rob Andrews that means you are cutting spending.  I guess when you believe government spending increases every year like the mercury in a thermometer on a sweltering summer day a freeze is really a spending cut.

Rob Andrews is just too liberal and needs to put the people before his uncontrollable urge to spend even more tax payer money. Tonight when you watch the President talk about not increasing spending look for Andrews to squirm.
