LoBiondo: President’s Rhetoric Hasn’t Matched “Results and Positive Action”

January 27, 2010

Congressman Frank LoBiondo (NJ-2)

On last night’s ABC 6 Action News, politically opportunistic Senator Arlen Specter praises President Obama’s oratory skills and speeches. A more objective Rep. Frank LoBiondo noted in anticipation of tonight’s State of the Union address, “The President, I think, is going to have to outline that his rhetoric of inclusion must now move to results and positive action, and that hasn’t happened.”

You can watch the segment here.

If ABC’s accompanying web post to the broadcast is any indication, look for Obama to continue to ignore the voice of the American public which has been adamant in its disapproval of the President’s policies and his stance on numerous crucial issues facing frustrated families.

The agenda will sound familiar. Obama says he will not retreat from the big issues he campaigned on and tried to get done in his first year, when political momentum was strong. He will push for health care, regulation of Wall Street, energy and immigration reform, and continue the global fight against terrorists.

Unfortunately, as can be expected, Obama will end up on the wrong side of those issues.
