Voters Trust Republicans!

February 6, 2010

The latest Rasmussen poll shows that voters trust Republicans on key issues nine times out of ten. According to the Trust on Issues poll, the GOP wins 46% to 42% over Democrats when it comes to handling economic issues. Looking at the issue of taxes, Republicans smash Democrats on a 50%-34% margin. Among undeclared and independent voters, the GOP clobbers the Democratic Party with a double digit margin of 45% to 32%.

It is apparent the success of Chris Christie is having a very positive impact on voter’s opinion of the Republican Party.  We can expect other polls to show similar results.  However, the challenge is to keep making good government decisions to benefit the people of New Jersey.  We know the Governor is up to the challenge and Republicans in South Jersey are working with him.

The only issue that Democrats can claim victory on is government ethics, which the Democrats cling to a narrow 33% to 30% margin over the Republican Party although both parties were tied in January 2010.  A summary listing of Rasmussen issues and  their corresponding Republican and Democrat results are listed in the table below.
