CCGOP & Cherry Hill Chairs Back Jon Runyan in NJ3

March 17, 2010

Today, Camden County GOP Chairman Rick DeMichele & Cherry Hill GOP Municipal Chairman Rich Ambrosino announced their support of NJ3 Congressional candidate Jon Runyan. The former Eagle now has unanimous backing of the district’s Republican organizations in Camden, Burlington and Ocean Counties.

The Runyan Campaign released the following statement:

Mount Laurel, March 17, 2010 – After earning the endorsements of Camden County Republican Chairman Rick DeMichele and Cherry Hill Republican Municipal Chairman Rich Ambrosino, former Philadelphia Eagle star and congressional candidate Jon Runyan has now wrapped up unanimous support among the three county Republican organizations in the 3rd Congressional District.

“A united Republican Party is essential to defeating John Adler and ending his 20-plus year career of higher taxes, more spending and skyrocketing debt both in Trenton and Washington, DC,” said Runyan.  “I am grateful to Chairman DeMichele for his support and his encouragement throughout this process.  Let me be clear, I have no plans to concede Cherry Hill to my opponent, and look forward to campaigning there often in the weeks and months ahead to win the support of taxpayers frustrated with government and their elected officials.”

DeMichele said Runyan is exactly what voters are looking for this year.

“Jon is not a professional politician.  He’s authentic, honest and willing to do the hard work necessary to be a great candidate and a terrific Congressman.  I enjoyed watching him on the football field on Sundays for years, but I will enjoy watching him beat John Adler in November even more.  I enthusiastically endorse his candidacy and the party stands ready to do whatever we can to help him be successful.”
