Knock, Knock. Ed McDonnell is Not in His Office.

June 25, 2010

 Knock, Knock… who is there?

Well if you were knocking on the office door of Camden County Dean Ed McDonnell at Camden County College chances are there would be no response.  In fact it seems Dean McDonnell is rarely at his academic office.  Does Dean McDonnell really work as an educator?  I guess no one is knocking on the office door on pay-day.

Now if you knock on the door of either George Zallie or Scott Decristofaro  they are  available.  They understand that when they make a commitment they have an obligation to do their job.

In a time when Americans are struggling,  higher education is important when it comes to the future of our youth, with global competition increasing and education being the key to a good paying  job, it is disheartening to learn that a Dean McDonnell is rarely at the Camden County College.

A dean of a college is an educational leader and sets the tone for academia at the institution, if Ed is not on campus and accessable what does that say to the young minds that are working to better their future.  What does it say to future generations?

If Ed McDonnell can’t do this job as an educator how can he be a Freeholder? It is time for real change in Camden County and that is why George and Scot are running. They are committed to doing a job and only one job for the citizens of Camden County.  They are both open-minded and listen to what the people need.

George and Scott understand that sound economics and realistic budgeting are key to a better tomorrow. Electing  George and Scot is the only way to ensure that the future generations have the skills and education to get a good paying job.

Maybe he’s out golfing with Jim Beach or picking up chicks with Lou Cappelli.

There is so much more that should be disclosed about this freeholders lack of responsibility at Camden County College. Over 30,000 enrolled, many in need of financial assistance these days… and under Ed McDonnell no students are permitted to see an aid counselor by appointment. That’s right, not only is he unavailable, but he does not hold his staff responsible to actually help students. The Department of Education is investigating the type of practices used by college Financial Aid offices like his, to stop such unresponsible behavior.
