No Shortage of Outrage over the DRPA patronage Mess!

August 7, 2010

This week Domenick DiCicco renewed his request for a federal investigation for misappropriations at the Delaware River Port Authority.  DiCicco joined the chorus of those who want to see John Matheussen resign.  Camden County Freeholder and DRPA Vice Chairman Jeff Nash continues to defend the Authorities practices dismissing the need for disclosure and an investigation.

When Mike Joyce resigned from the DRPA it became apparent that his $180,000 + per year job was not is only job.  Joyce while working full-time was able to earn money at a private law firm and collect a check as the solicitor for the Pennsauken Municipal Utilities Authority.  Seems Mike loves working at “Authorities”.

This bring us to the Saturday Question.

I commend Mr. DiCicco’s request for an investigation into the DRPA, but an investigation request alone will not expose what is clearly a front for funneling taxpayer dollars to the politically connected. There has to be an investigation along with an effective prosecution based on the findings of the investigation.
