Yesterday, at the start of a city-wide walking tour of Camden, First District Congressional Candidate Dale Glading (R-Barrington) pledged to open a congressional office in Camden when he wins in November.

“For too long, Rob Andrews and his fellow Democrats have sat comfortably in their suburban homes and paid lip service to the residents of Camden,”

Glading said.

“They poke their heads into the city around election time and then don’t reappear until the next election cycle.”

“It’s time that Rob Andrews and the South Jersey Democrat Machine stopped taking the people of Camden for granted,”

Glading added.

“Investments along the waterfront and at Cooper Hospital may make for good photo ops, but that’s not where the people of Camden live.”

“After 20 years of being under-represented by Congressman Andrews, Camden is the poorest and most dangerous city in America,”

stated Glading.

“That is simply unacceptable.”

“Camden’s problems are the result of decades of neglect and one-party rule.”

Glading concluded,

“And they cannot be solved by career politicians who refuse to spend time in the city. I promise to change that by opening and maintaining a congressional office in Camden in order to better serve its residents.”

Glading’s walking tour began in the Fairview section of Camden in front of the house where his mother June grew up. From there, Dale and June Glading campaigned together in Cramer Hill, where his father Bill was born. Glading ended the day in his childhood hometown of Merchantville.

If one looks at any large U.S. city that is in the same condition as Camden, chances are they will find that it is run by democrats. Perhaps more than any other community in south jersey, Camden needs change that is in their best interest. The democrat machine has had long enough to turn this train around, and they have failed miserably. Open and honest, Dale Glading deserves that opportunity.
