Even Democrats Love it When Christie Comes to Camden County!

August 26, 2010

This past Monday,Camden County Freeholder Candidate, Scot DeCristofaro, along with Congressional Candidate Dale Glading , and State Senate Candidate Harry Trout; joined Governor Chris Christie in Haddon Heights to sign veterans’ bills.  They were joined by many residents and veterans from Camden County and many parts of South Jersey.  It was an honor to be able to share the time with all the members of our military that were on hand for this event.

Interestingly enough, there were two people who surprised everyone, Freeholder Ed McDonnell and Surrogate Patricia Eagan Jones, both of which are up for re-election this November.  Of course let’s be honest why else were they there but because they are up for re-election.  As the crowds gathered and waited for the Governor to arrive some thoughts came to mind. If Ed and Pat were in Haddon Heights for most of the afternoon on Monday, who was overseeing things at the Camden County College, the Surrogate’s office, the Freeholder board, or the multiple other jobs that these two have.

Indeed we live in an age where communication moves faster than a speeding bullet, sometime, but if these two are not working for the people of Camden County we have to wonder what they really do all day. It seems that these two are more into photo ops and shaking hands then helping the people of Camden County move forward. Given the economic downturn and the continued unemployment being so high we could really use some new leadership.

It is time that we restore pride and integrity back to our county and our government. We need  George Zallie and Scot DeCristofaro on the Camden County Freeholder Board, and Chris Leone-Zwillinger as Surrogate.  They will work for all of us and do what is in the best interest of all the people of Camden County.
