Gladign Hosts “We Read the Constitution”

September 13, 2010

Dale Glading

This year, National Constitution Day falls on Friday, September 17th. However, it is being celebrated in many places across the country on Saturday, September 18th with a series of special events called “We Read the Constitution Parties.” Basically, the purpose of the parties is to honor our founding document by reading it aloud in public.

The Dale Glading for Congress campaign is serving as the area sponsor for this event. Local office holders, volunteers, seniors and ordinary citizens will be participating by taking turns reading sections of the Constitution aloud at Haddon Heights Park at the foot of Station Avenue beginning at 9:00 AM. The actual reading of the Constitution will be preceded by the Pledge of Allegiance, an invocation, and special patriotic music. A musical interlude will also be performed between the reading of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

You are invited not only to attend this very special event, but also to participate as a reader. Help us honor America and our Founding Fathers by reading aloud the monumental words that forged the United States of America.
