“GETTING CAMDEN COUNTY ON THE RIGHT TRACK”

CAMCO GOP CHAIRMAN DeMICHELE TO FREEHOLDERS: ARE YOU KIDDING?

Do we want or need another 20 years of the same kind of government?

CAMDEN COUNTY, NJ – For the past 20 years, one-party rule has made Camden County what it is – home to the highest property taxes in the country; soaring unemployment, companies leaving, and constant abuse of taxpayer dollars.

Freeholders Ed McDonnell and Carmen Rodriguez are part of the problem, with multiple taxpayer funded jobs, board appointments, pensions, and free lifetime healthcare. They are part of the Democrat machine that has controlled Camden County for two decades and has a record of failure.

No wonder they now need to spend tens of thousands of dollars on TV commercials and mailers to spread lies blaming Freeholder candidates George Zallie and Scot DeCristofaro for soaring property taxes, when McDonnell and Rodriguez are in fact the elected officials in charge.

Camden County Republican Chairman Rick DeMichele said:

“Are they kidding?  For over 20 years, the Democrats have run this county. The people of Camden County will not be fooled by their pretending to be reformers, because the fact is, they are exactly what is wrong with government today.  And now, for the first time in 20 years the tide is turning.  They can see their reign ending as Camden County residents have had enough and are ready to vote for change.”

George Zallie said,

“McDonnell and Rodriguez and worried because they know that our message of putting taxpayers first is resonating. Scot and I are pledging to take only $1 in salary if elected, take no other public taxpayer-funded jobs, and take no healthcare benefits.”

Scot DeCristofaro concluded,

“George and I running for Freeholder to bring a much needed check and balance to Camden County government.  We are committed to restoring accountability and affordability to Camden County – something that’s been missing for a long time”.

The fact that George and Scott are “pledging to take only $1 in salary if elected, take no other public taxpayer-funded jobs, and take no healthcare benefits” says volumes about why they seek the freeholder position in Camden County(CC). It’s not for money and power, but an honest desire to give the residents of CC what it hasn’t had in 20 years…….efficient, clean, honest government. We need to covey this one pledge to as many voters in CC as we can before Nov. 2nd, because this is what people want to hear from their elected officials. This will attract the undecided independant voter.

I think this is a great proposal and a chance for the voters to find a politician in the game for the right reason and someone willing to stick with their prinicipals. I sincerely hope he wins and maintains his promises. No Democrat would ever considering saying this. Even they could not manage a straight face while telling that lie.
